Exclusive Interview with Urvashi Rautela: The Queen of Viral Power

Urvashi Rautela—actress, model, and global icon—has captivated audiences with her beauty, talent, and unapologetic confidence. From winning beauty pageants to ruling Bollywood and beyond, she continues to break stereotypes. In this candid conversation, Urvashi opens up about her journey, challenges, and what’s next in her ever-evolving career.

1. You’ve been a part of the Hindi film industry for over a decade. How do you reflect on your journey—from debut to now?
My journey has been nothing short of a living, breathing dream — filled with challenges, breakthroughs, and constant evolution. From my debut to today, every project, every set, and every interaction has been a stepping stone in my growth not just as an artist, but as a human being. I’ve learned that true success isn’t just about fame or accolades — it’s about impact, inspiring others, and keeping your soul intact in an industry that constantly tests it.

2. You’ve worked across genres—comedy, drama, action. Which role challenged you the most, and why?
Every genre has its own heartbeat, but action has been the most challenging for me. It demands physical stamina, precision, and emotional authenticity all at once. When you’re performing high-octane sequences while still telling a heartfelt story, you realize that acting is a full-body, full-soul experience. It pushed me to my limits, and I love that — because growth always lives just outside your comfort zone.
3. Bollywood often typecasts actresses. Have you faced this? How did you push past limitations?
Typecasting is real — it’s like being given a box and told to live inside it. But I believe an artist should be limitless. I’ve consciously chosen roles that surprise people, that make them say, “I didn’t expect Urvashi to do that.” Breaking patterns requires courage, but it also requires patience. You have to keep showing the industry — and the audience — that you’re more than a label.

4. You’re one of the few Bollywood actresses who’s a regular at international events like Cannes. How do you approach representing India on global platforms?
When I walk an international red carpet, I’m not just Urvashi — I am India’s colours, its culture, and its creativity. I carry the grace of our traditions and the boldness of our modernity in every step. My approach is always to celebrate my roots while embracing global sensibilities, so the world sees the richness of India in a fresh, powerful light.
5. Your fashion choices are bold and trendsetting. Who inspires your style? Do you have a favorite red-carpet moment?
My style is inspired by two things: the fearless creativity of global fashion and the timeless elegance of Indian heritage. I see fashion as art — a language without words. My favourite red-carpet moment has to be at Cannes, wearing a couture masterpiece that fused Indian craftsmanship with contemporary structure. It wasn’t just a dress — it was a statement of identity.
6. Your fitness regime is legendary. What’s your daily routine like? Any cheat meals you can’t resist?
My fitness philosophy is about balance — I train like an athlete, but I also nourish my mind and soul. My mornings usually begin with yoga or pilates, followed by strength training or dance rehearsals. I believe in functional fitness that prepares me for both my craft and my life. And yes, I do have my indulgences — dark chocolate and a perfectly made tiramisu are my guilty pleasures.
7. Mental health is crucial in showbiz. How do you stay grounded amidst fame and pressure?
I stay grounded by remembering that my worth isn’t defined by the applause or the criticism. Meditation, journaling, and spending time with my family keep me anchored. I’ve learned to create stillness within, so no matter how loud the outside world gets, my inner world remains peaceful.

8. You’ve been vocal about independence and ambition. What’s your advice to young women in male-dominated industries?
Know your value, even when others don’t see it yet. In male-dominated spaces, your ambition may be misunderstood — but that’s okay. Let your work speak, let your integrity shine, and never apologise for dreaming big. Remember, you’re not here to fit in — you’re here to stand out.
9. Any Hollywood or OTT projects in the pipeline? What’s your dream role?
Yes, there are some exciting Hollywood and OTT projects in the works, but until they’re officially announced, I believe in letting the work speak when it’s ready. My dream role would be a layered, complex character — someone who is both a warrior and a poet, who embodies strength yet vulnerability, perhaps in an epic global story that blends cultures.
10. If not an actress, what would Urvashi Rautela be?
I would still be a storyteller — perhaps through writing, directing, or humanitarian work. My core is about connection and creation, and I believethose qualities can shine in any medium. Art is just the form — purpose is the essence.
