Review: Surprising amounts of personality behind Le Meridien Fairway

Each space is distinctive. I can see this being a very divisive design feature within close proximity of the enchanting Dubai Creek. It’s definitely a bold use of space. Truth is, I kind of like it. It makes me go back to the 70’s with minimalist details. The simplicity of the building’s exterior and reception are made up for by the classy interior of the rest of the hotel. Large lavish couches span the lobby area.

Each hotel room has it’s own unique interior design and is bursting full of character. The hotel certainly makes quite a statement when you arrive, you’re still met with a warm welcome from their team.

The Staff were all very friendly, and would always check you had everything you needed. All are extremely helpful during our stay, giving us information on the area, the Business Lounge was a very welcoming place and was equally as welcoming, a bright open and airy space.

We took a left into the bedroom. Room 306 to be exact, It was comfortably sized, minimal, with two marshmallow-esque bed taking centerstage. Topped off with an abundance of pillows. Aside from the usual mini fridge, tea and coffee facilities and desk, it had a mini sitting room, table and chairs.

An outdoor swimming pool, an indoor sauna, fitness studios, four restaurants. We loved the soft-glow lighting in the bathrooms – flattering enough to snap an updated Instagram ready – and the vast showers – big enough to hold a board meeting in – felt indulgent in the mornings. Towels and lovely bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash are sparingly available.

For Dinner, pack your appetite. Trust me, you’ll need it. On the menu they have varities of oozing and tempting foods, which I assume is to imply that you can just keep on grazing. And graze we did. For a memorable meal the quality of the service is something that guests often remember as much as the food and drink served with an array of salads, Thailand’s Tom Yum, spaghetti. I thoroughly enjoyed the pasta salad and the fact that I had access to an endless supply of cheese. Dreamy.

Breakfast was lovely, too, with a cold buffet as well as a hot à la carte menu on offer. Start savoury with cold meats and cheese, fresh eggs cooked infront of you. Having few rooms inside the hotel meant that breakfast was relaxed and never felt manic. If you’ve got room, the desserts are definitely worth investigating, too. The tea and coffee was free flowing even. Fresh fruits? Your choice.

There was also a bread station with fresh cut-your-own loaves, good butter, preserves and pastries, plus a selection of cereals, yogurts and fresh juices. We could have spent the whole morning grazing on the great food.
