Can you tell us about your childhood?

I was a naughty kid … my personality shifted totally when I became 18 and again when I became 30.

When was the first time you realized you have talent in imitating and acting? Have you parents resisted your interest in the art scene?

Since I was a child, I was very talented in imitating people who visited our house. My father used to ask me to imitate people and it was funny … My family resisted my interest in the art scene in the beginning and asked me to first finish college.

Tell us about your beauty contest experience

First, I participated in Miss Syria contest in 2014 and it was the first time ever for this contest. I was bullied and subject to a lot of criticism because the community there does not fully accept this kind of contest. When I won, I participated in Miss Arab World, and I came as the first runner up for 2015. I believe I have all the qualifications required for winning these contests. The experience is challenging but exciting at the same time.

What were the responsibilities bestowed on you when you won the beauty contest?

A lot actually and I had to prove to everyone that I am up for it especially after the bullying I have been subject to … I was able to work with the biggest stars in Egypt and had a number of acting roles in Cinema production.

You have been a model for seven years and we all know that a model should have specific physical appearance. Do you abide by these measures, or do you have another opinion about this?

In the beginning of my career, I was a model and I had to remain in shape because I didn’t want to lose opportunities as a fashion model … I worked with renowned fashion designers like Hany el Behairy from Egypt and others outside of Egypt. Thereafter, I stopped fashion modeling and started a career in acting, blogging and influencing.

How was your experience as an actress?

The beginning was quite difficult because I couldn’t master the Egyptian accent but it became easier and now I am able to pick and choose from roles what I think is suitable for me
